Gold DofE

Recently the qualifying Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition took place in the beautiful Wasdale and Scafell Pike areas of the Lake District National Park. Over four days our intrepid Year 13 candidates walked almost 70 kilometres and ascended about 4,000 metres, taking significant summits in their stride including Scafell and Helvellyn. They also 'wild camped' on a hillside in the middle of nowhere with the most beautiful views from their tent door!
