Fees
Fees are quoted per term and are reviewed annually.
It is standard practice for all fee-paying schools to request payment in advance at the beginning of each term. If payment is not received by the first day of term, interest will be charged daily.
VAT on Fees
From January 2025, all independent schools in the UK, including ours, will be required to add 20% VAT to tuition fees for pupils in Reception through to Sixth Form. This change is due to new government regulations. However, it’s important to note that nursery fees will remain exempt from VAT.
We understand that this VAT increase will have an impact on families, and we are committed to supporting you through this transition. To help ease the financial burden, we will be reducing our Net headline tuition fees for Reception through to Sixth Form. This means that instead of facing the full 20% VAT increase, the overall increase in fees will be significantly lower, resulting in an effective rise of only 10%.
Payment Options
Direct Debit Payments
Invoices must be paid by direct debit (this method requires the payer to have a UK bank account). Fees may not be paid in cash.
Childcare Vouchers
Childcare Vouchers can be used to pay for care of children up to the age of 15 (or 16 if disabled). We accept vouchers towards wrap care and for clubs outside of school hours—such as breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, and activities.
Vouchers can also be used to pay for Nursery & Transition fees and Reception year fees prior to your child reaching the compulsory school age of 5. Please note that vouchers cannot be used to pay for school fees for Reception (once over the age of 5) to Year 13, lunches, or activities during normal school hours.

Additional Costs
There are additional costs for school transport, music lessons, SEND support, trips and co-curricular clubs.
Fees In Advance
We offer two methods of Advance Fee schemes. The first allows families to reduce the cost of independent education by making a lump sum payment which is invoiced.
On request, our Finance team will provide an illustration of how far your lump sum payment will cover future fees. A 2% discount will be applied to term fees paid in advance under this scheme.
The second scheme allows families to deposit a large payment on account, which is drawn into each term.
Sibling Discount
A discount of 10% will be applied to the tuition fees for any third or subsequent children enrolled at the school. The discount will be applied to the youngest child with the exception of children in Nursery, where we would apply the discount to the next youngest. When the nursery child progresses into Reception, the discount is removed from the older child and applied to the youngest.
Change in Family Circumstances
Within overall budget funding, the School will in normal circumstances set aside each year a hardship fund, for cases of sudden, unforeseen need or where applications meriting bursary assistance are received out of the normal calendar cycle for bursary submission, scrutiny and award. This sum will be set within budgetary constraints. Parents/guardians with a child at the School whose financial circumstances suddenly change may apply for a bursary, explaining their situation. Such awards are subject to the availability of funding and cannot be guaranteed.
To apply, please contact our Director of Finance and Operations at dfo@radnor-sevenoaks.org and include the completed financial circumstances form.
