GCSE Success

Well done to our Year 11 pupils who have enjoyed great success across a broad range of subjects in their GCSEs.

Those specialising in Sciences through the Triple Science programme secured nearly 90% Grade 7-9, whilst our first cohort of students on the Creative iMedia course enjoyed similar success, with all students awarded the equivalent of a Grade 6 and two thirds achieving higher than that.

Maths continues to be a strength, with 60% of students securing Grades 6-9 in the GCSE and 80% achieving the top two grades in the A Level-standard Additional Maths qualification.

The hard work and dedication shown by these students gives them an excellent foundation as they progress to study at A Level, with a similarly broad range of subject choices being made reflecting the diversity of talents and interests in our student body.

Fraser Halliwell, Head, adds “Our pupils have had to confront significant adversity due to the pandemic during their secondary education, so the excellent outcomes they have achieved in their GCSEs are a testament to their courage and perseverance. As a cohort, they have performed better than pre-Covid years with over half of grades in 6-9 range. I am delighted that our pupils have met the standards for their post-16 education, with most staying to undertake A-level study at Radnor House Sevenoaks Sixth Form.

I would like to thank our outstanding teachers for their support and diligence over the years. The passion for their subjects coupled with ambitious expectations serve our pupils well and have led to ever stronger academic outcomes. Radnor House Sevenoaks truly demonstrates what can be achieved when pupils are well known and properly supported and challenged – there is more in them than they think!”
