Pastoral Care

At Radnor Prep, we are a vibrant and supportive community where every child is valued and celebrated for their unique qualities.

We foster an environment where children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to excel in all aspects of their lives. Our focus on each child's welfare and happiness ensures they thrive, embrace learning opportunities, and grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.

The Class Teacher, central to our pastoral system, acts as the primary link between home and school, providing daily guidance and support. They monitor and support each child’s academic and pastoral needs, facilitating quick resolution of any issues and maintaining open communication with parents.

By prioritising happiness, safety, and nurturing, we ensure that every child feels respected and valued, both as an individual and as part of our school community.

In addition to the Class Teacher, Key Stage leaders and the Head of Pastoral Care offer further support, including access to in-house therapies and our school counsellor for children facing challenges.

We actively address unkindness through our pupil-led Anti-Bullying committee and ensure all staff are trained in safeguarding and child protection.
