All-Round Development at Radnor

Radnor House is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded individuals through an extensive co-curricular programme. We actively encourage every child to participate in a variety of activities that complement their academic learning.

Our diverse co-curricular offerings at Radnor foster commitment, collaboration, and curiosity. We inspire pupils to explore new experiences and develop a broad range of skills. Students engage in a rolling programme of enrichment activities, including coding, debating, film studies, sports, photography, and dance. With over 140 clubs available each week, before, during, and after school, there is something for everyone.

We promote participation in national and local events such as Young Enterprise, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, UK Maths Challenge, and Young Engineers. Our Performing Arts department offers numerous weekly clubs and peripatetic private lessons for LAMDA, New Era Academy, and ABRSM examinations.

Our eco clubs focus on environmental sustainability, resulting in impactful changes and earning us the Kent Green School Award and a distinction in the Eco Schools programme. Charitable work is integral to our ethos, with students participating in various community activities such as mini-marathons, tea parties at care homes, and our annual 'Make a Difference Day,' where the entire school dedicates a day to working with local charities.

Public Responsibilities

At Radnor House Sevenoaks, we provide pupils with regular opportunities to take on leadership roles, fostering a sense of responsibility and community engagement.

Each form has two Form Leaders who represent their peers at the School Council, where students set the agenda and address issues affecting their school experience. Additionally, we host an annual whole school "Make a Difference Day," during which all pupils contribute to local charities. Leadership opportunities continue to develop throughout the Senior School, with roles in peer mentoring, community service in Year 12, and participation in the Sixth Form leadership team.

These responsibilities are integral to our Lower School Award (Years 7-8), the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, and our Sixth Form Diploma.

Enrichment and Trips

Radnor House Sevenoaks offers a variety of trips around the UK and abroad, enriching students' academic learning by inspiring them and building their confidence. These trips cover a wide array of topics and experiences:

  • The World Challenge in Borneo
  • Trekking in China
  • Geography field-trip to Iceland
  • History visit to Auschwitz
  • Middle School ski trip
  • Science trip to Mexico
  • Arts trip to New York

Additionally, all Senior pupils have the opportunity to join the annual Choir trip. The Choir has visited several European countries, with the most recent trip to Disneyland Paris, where they participated in the Disney Performing Arts Workshop.

Through these enriching activities and leadership opportunities, Radnor House Sevenoaks aims to develop well-rounded, confident, and socially responsible individuals.
