Radnor House Sevenoaks: A Bold New Era Marked by A Level Success

Radnor House Sevenoaks students and staff are celebrating an exceptional 100% pass rate in this year's A Level examinations, with 96% securing their education of choice.

This year, 26% of students achieved A*-A grades, 48% attained A*-B grades, and 80% earned A*-C grades. The Class of 2024 will be embarking on the next stage of their academic journey, with many heading to prestigious Russell Group universities, as well as other highly regarded institutions across the UK. These results coincide with an exciting period of change at Radnor House Sevenoaks, as the school welcomed a new Head, Mr Paton, in January 2024.

We are immensely proud of all our students and their accomplishments this year. Among the many success stories are:

Ella Atkins, who achieved A*AAA and will be studying English at the University of York.
Mia Holmes, who earned A*AAA and will be pursuing Psychology and Mathematics at Newcastle University.
Imogen Gascoyne-Day, who received AAAA and will be studying Mathematics at the University of Bath. She expressed her joy, saying, "I'm so happy with the fact that I've managed to secure my first choice. I'm so excited".

Louis Lawrence-Totten, who attained AAAB and will be taking up a place in Business Management at the University of Exeter.
Edward Shilling, who achieved AABB and will be studying Philosophy at the University of York. Reflecting on his journey, Ed shared, "I'm really pleased with my results. Thank you, Radnor, for everything, it has been very helpful this whole time. I just had to keep pushing, thanks for the support you gave me".

Head of Radnor House Sevenoaks, Mr. Paton, commented, "I am thrilled to celebrate the achievements of this year's Upper Sixth, with many students securing their first-choice university placements. Individual accomplishments, including a string of A*s and As for Ed, Imogen, Ella, and Mia, highlight the hard work and dedication of our students. I am incredibly proud of them and delighted that they have achieved the grades required to move on to the next stage of their lives."

Mr. Paton continued, "Having returned to the school in January after a three-year break, it is especially meaningful to celebrate these successes at such a pivotal moment. The role of Headship is made more rewarding by moments like these.

Head of Sixth Form, David Leddington, added, "I am extremely proud of the achievements of our year 13 students in attaining so many of their first-choice universities including Russell Group Top 20 and other specialist providers. Furthermore, students also gained places in apprenticeships and in employment in a very competitive environment.
Throughout their time in the Sixth Form, these students have been excellent role models for others and have fully immersed themselves in sixth form and wider school life. They've all significantly developed their teamwork, oracy, communication and leadership skills through the opportunities they have been provided with".

We are extremely proud of our pupils' success and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.
