Early Years Explore the Round Square Heroes of Discovery
On Wednesday, our Early Years children embarked on an exciting journey of discovery as they took part in Round Square Hero Day, a key event in our Archway Curriculum. Dressed in capes and costumes, they explored the 12 Round Square Heroes of Discovery, each representing important attributes, attitudes, and skills that will guide them throughout their Prep years and in fact their lives.
Through a variety of hands-on activities, the children developed essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. Whether it was passing messages in a "telephone game" to practice clear communication, painting emotion stones to understand kindness, or guiding BeeBots through a maze to encourage critical thinking, each experience helped bring the heroes to life. Other activities included mindfulness exercises, storytelling sessions on bravery, and creative colour-mixing explorations, all designed to inspire curiosity, self-awareness, and responsibility.
The day was filled with adventure, laughter, and valuable learning experiences. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, and we are proud to support their development in such a fun and interactive way.
