Radnor House Sevenoaks Shines with Exceptional GCSE Success!
Radnor House Sevenoaks is delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its Year 11 students in this year’s GCSE examinations. The school is proud to announce that an impressive 79% of all grades were 9-5, with over 52% at 9-6 (equivalent to A*-B grades) and a notable 31% at 9-7 (A*-A equivalent). These results mark the best performance in the 9-5 grade range that Radnor House Sevenoaks has ever achieved, highlighting the exceptional dedication and talent of our students.
Particularly outstanding were the results in the Sciences, where 100% of students achieved grades 9-7 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This success is a testament to the focused efforts and commitment to excellence in these subjects over recent years.
The timing of these results coincides with an exciting period of transformation at Radnor House Sevenoaks, as the school welcomed its new Head, Mr. David Paton, in January 2024. Reflecting on the results, Mr. Paton said, “These are outstanding results and a testament to the focus and determination of the entire year group, as well as their hardworking teachers. This cohort faced significant challenges during their Key Stage 3 and 4 education, particularly due to the disruptions caused by COVID. The exceptional results in the separate Sciences are particularly encouraging and reflect the significant focus we’ve placed on these subjects. Well done to all, and I look forward to seeing you in September!”
The students themselves expressed their pride and satisfaction with their results:
