Radnor House Sevenoaks Hosts Prestigious Round Square Heads' Symposium
On Thursday, Radnor House Sevenoaks had the honour of hosting the Round Square Heads' Symposium, welcoming headteachers from across the globe, including representatives from Australia, Hong Kong, and Colombia.
The day commenced with an engaging introductory speech by David Paton, who eloquently outlined the history of Radnor House Sevenoaks and its vision for the future. Following the address, Year 10 and Year 12 students led guided tours of the school, proudly showcasing our state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive programmes. Their poise and enthusiasm earned high praise from the visiting headteachers, who were deeply impressed by the students’ professionalism and insights.
The Symposium featured two impactful seminars. The first, titled "Flight Planning Round Square from Prep to Senior," was led by Tom Scott, the school’s Round Square representative, and Mike Godwin, Head of Prep. This seminar highlighted how Radnor House Sevenoaks integrates Round Square principles into its curriculum, fostering a cohesive ethos from Prep through to Senior School.
The second seminar, "Radnor House Sevenoaks and AI," delivered by Mr Paton, showcased the school’s innovative use of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. The session demonstrated how AI is enhancing the educational experience and sparking meaningful discussions about the future of technology in education.
The day’s success was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff and students involved. Visiting headteachers left with a highly positive impression of Radnor House Sevenoaks, commending the school for its forward-thinking approaches and the warmth of its community.
