Thoughts from the Radnor Walks
Thoughts from the Radnor Walks
Last Friday, despite the drizzle and damp weather, a determined group of parents and staff from Radnor House Sevenoaks gathered at the beautiful Knole Park for the latest instalment of Radnor Walks. Led by the Head of the Prep, Mr. Godwin, the walk provided a unique opportunity for informal conversation, fostering deeper connections between parents and school staff.
Radnor Walks is more than just a stroll through nature; it is an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the school and parents. At Radnor House Sevenoaks, we recognize that a strong relationship between home and school is a key ingredient in ensuring successful learning for our children. While structured events like Stay and Share sessions, Open Mornings, and Curriculum Workshops are invaluable, there is something uniquely special about stepping away from the formality of school settings to engage in open discussions in a relaxed environment.
Walking side by side through the scenic parkland allowed conversations to flow naturally. Parents and staff shared thoughts on school life, parenting experiences, and beyond, all while enjoying the restorative power of nature. Despite the rain, spirits remained high.
Looking ahead to next term, we are excited to continue Radnor Walks and welcome even more parents to join us. Whether rain or shine, these walks provide a meaningful way to build relationships, share insights and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors together. We encourage all parents to take part and experience firsthand the positive impact of this initiative.
We look forward to seeing you on the next Radnor Walk—let’s walk, talk and strengthen our community, one step at a time.
